Glean and Salesforce: Bringing enterprise-wide AI insights into the conversation with new AI assistant in Slack

At Glean, we’re always looking for innovative ways to enhance workplace productivity and streamline access to information. Although Glean already has a Slack integration, today we’re announcing our collaboration with Slack to bring a new Glean Work AI integration into Slack’s dedicated UI for AI assistants. Slack and Glean are already “must haves” for daily productivity at work and by bringing in this new AI assistant directly into Slack, daily collaboration will be even more seamless.

Unlocking seamless AI integration with Glean in Slack

The new agent interface will directly embed Glean into Slack, making it a seamless conversational interface for AI apps at work. Users will be able to benefit from AI insights derived from across their entire enterprise knowledge corpus, all in the context of the active Slack conversation. They'll be able to effortlessly understand critical context regarding the active discussion at hand, receive insightful answers to queries, and benefit from dynamic suggestions based on the current task. Whether you need to check the status of a project, pull in insights to resolve a support issue, or help a sales colleague during an in-flight sales conversation, Glean can provide a consolidated view of all enterprise information across your entire data ecosystem, right within your Slack workspace.

Planned features

1. Suggested Prompts: Glean can make intelligent suggestions for what users should ask, dynamically adjusting based on the context of their work. This feature ensures that users get the most relevant information quickly and efficiently.

2. Persistent Sidebar: The Glean App will appear in a persistent sidebar within Slack, allowing users to multitask and chat for insights with Glean while continuing their other work. This seamless integration enhances productivity and keeps workflows uninterrupted.

3. Thread History: Each interaction with Glean is tracked via a thread, making it easy for users to revisit past conversations and find information quickly through a new History tab.
